THE “THOUSAND” OF CIOCCOLATÒ
March 17th, special preview opening of Cioccolatò to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy. A great big Italy entirely made of chocolate: with this maxi installation, over 15 meters long and weighing 14 tons was showed up in Turin, "the capital of chocolate in Italy."
Cioccolatò will celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy (
150° anniversario Unità d'Italia) as a special preview opening of the Torinese show devoted to the food of the gods, held from March 25th to April 3rd with the sponsorship of the City of Turin. And this begins many other events planned in next 250 days of celebration starting from 17th March at all over Italy.
On this website, they introduce the numbers that describe about the map they built only by chocolates.
14t (chocolate used)
15.5m (length of map)
10 (sculpture of opera)
1,500 (hours of production)
The high point of this event is the actual national anthem record made with Chocolate. It's been actually played at the event.
And of course, you could enjoy the chocolates at the shops after "mouth-watering" map.
